About

Bio of Wesley Bosch, M.A., M.F.T.

I am a counselor/psychotherapist licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist since 1981. I earned a Master of Arts degree at Chapman University and before that a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at California State University, Long Beach.

I’ve had a long-time interest in the body and mind connection, leading me into related areas for my personal and professional life. Additional extensive postgraduate training, study, and practice have been accomplished in such areas as Mindfulness and Meditation and its application to mental and physical health; EMDR, TFT, and Hypnosis; and Bioenergetic Therapy. In addition to sustaining a personal ongoing meditation practice for many years, I aspire for progressive professional development by attending workshops, seminars, trainings, meditation retreats, and independent study in a variety of areas of mindfulness, mental health treatment and disorders, and ethics/legal issues.

I have been privileged to work with and help people from many walks of life in a variety of settings, both inpatient and outpatient for 30+ years. For most of the past 20+ years, I’ve been engaged in counseling services in an office setting, including private practice, community colleges (vocational/career counseling), as a counselor consultant at a federally funded career center (mental health and vocational counseling), and in an EAP center (Employee Assistance Program).

Earlier, I had several years of working experience in hospitals, including Hoag Hospital’s former mental health treatment unit as the Psychiatric Social Service Worker and Day Treatment Coordinator, as a consultant conducting specialized psychotherapeutic individual and group treatment at several inpatient facilities, and was a staff member on the psychiatric emergency unit at UCI Medical Center.
